The newest addition to the popular 500 series the Dunlop Biomimetic 500 Plus lives up to its name in that it provides more of just about everything. From the larger 110 sq. in. headsize to the extended 27.5 in. length this racquet is made to provide the feel and tweener aspects of its smaller relatives while providing additional power and forgiveness. To provide optimal playability the Biomimetic 500 Plus is reinforced with HM6 Carbon which integrates specialized sheets of graphite into their classic Aerogel frame layup. This specialized graphite is made by creating a series of hexagonal carbon elements which provide additional rigidity compared to typical carbon bonds. The added stiffness helps to generate additional control thanks to the enhanced stability on off center impacts while the structure is made of up to 95% air helping to dampen unwanted vibration for greater comfort. The head heavy balance and light weight of this frame provide both maneuverability at net as well as stability and power from the back of the court. The Aeroskin technology is easily apparent on the 500 Plus as the micro riblets are placed along the outside of the frame creating areas of localized turbulence around the racquet as it moves through the air. This greatly reduces aerodynamic drag for additional racquet head speed generating more power and spin. With the added leverage and power of this frame it comes highly recommended for baseliners seeking an oversized lightweight frame with easy power.
