Babolat 2009 Drive Z-Lite Cortex Tennis Racquet - 1493 Overview
The Babolat Drive Z-Lite with Cortex is now offered in a new cosmetic for 2009 and continues to utilizes the Cortex vibration filter at the top of the handle. Cortex is used in several of Babolat's players racquets to enhance feel by cancelling only the 2 highest vibration frequencies. Only those frequencies that enhance feel are permitted to pass through the Cortex filter. Other than the addition of the Cortex filter (and a snazzy new paint scheme) Babolat has kept the specifications on this new version of the Drive Z-Lite w/ Cortex the same as the outgoing Drive Z-Lite.The Babolat Drive Z-Lite still has the feel of a "players" racquet with a solid, stable, comfortable feel, but with a broader appeal due to its lighter weight. Geared to the intermediate to advanced player possessing a longer, faster swing, who will appreciate the slightly lighter and more maneuverable feel versus the regular Pure Drive.
